As we said some days ago, the beginning of year comes accompanied from information regarding the plans and strategies that the different manufacturers will carry out during the course of 2010.
In this case the news comes from the Opel hand. The manufacturer who is part of General Motors has plans of beginning the commercialization of the second generation of Opel Meriva, which will be made of the Figuernuelas plant in Saragossa, from next summer.
The stipulated date would be March 4, inside the International Lounge of the Motorcar of Geneva.
The car, which was designed and developed in the center of engineering of the mark in Ruesselsheim, will be free in six motorizaciones diverse, although they all will deliver services that they respect to the environment.
These engines will deliver a potency of between 75 and 140 horsepowers accompanied by manual gearboxes of 5 and 6 speeds, and an automatic version of 6 marches.
As for the design of the new Meriva, there is interesting the presence of the system that Opel has named FlexDoors, which consists of the fact that the rear doors are opened in the opposite direction to the habitual one, in order to facilitate the revenue of the passengers.
